Pam White,
a nationally certified counselor, has experienced the college process from both
sides of the admissions desk. She recently retired as a guidance counselor at
New Canaan High School. Previously, she worked in undergraduate admissions at
Fairfield University.
She holds a
bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and two master’s degrees—in
Communication and School Counseling—from Fairfield University. She is a member
of
NACAC
(National Association for College Admission Counseling), NEACAC (New
England Association for College Admission Counseling), HECA
(Higher Education Consultants Association) and IECA (Independent Educational Consultants
Association). The mother of two college graduates, she has also experienced the
parent’s role in admissions first-hand.
Now, as an
independent college counselor, she works closely with students and their
families, guiding them throughout the college process. To stay current on
trends and unique features at the various institutions she recommends, she
continually visits and re-visits campuses. Her goal is to enable every student
to have a positive admissions experience that leads to self-discovery and
personal growth.
